FSB Networking Success: A Morning at Castle Hill House

FSB Networking Success: A Morning at Castle Hill House

UBC Windsor recently had the pleasure of hosting its first networking event for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) at Castle Hill House, and what an event it was!

This gathering brough together a vibrant mix of entrepreneurs and small business owners from the Windsor area that offered an invaluable opportunity to connect, share ideas and enjoy a morning of professional collaboration.

Coffee and Connections opposite the Castle

We provided complimentary refreshments for the event, setting a relaxed and welcoming space for all attendees.

Attendees gained valuable insights from our guest speaker Kati Holloway Noakes, who delivered her talk on “50 Shades of Socials”, but also left with actionable tips to enhance their social media strategies. Kati’s engaging session resonated with the audience and sparked lively discussions throughout the morning.

What our team had to say

Centre Manager Debbie Winser shared her thoughts on the event: "It was truly inspiring to see so many passionate entrepreneurs and small business owners come together. The energy in the room was palpable, and the connections made today will undoubtedly lead to exciting collaborations and growth for everyone involved."

Sales and Marketing Director Jane Erasmus also attended the event and commented: "Events like these are crucial for fostering a sense of community among small businesses. Sharing knowledge and experiences helps us all grow stronger together. I'm thrilled to see the positive impact this event has had and look forward to many more successful gatherings in the future."

Both emphasised the importance of fostering a sense of community at UBC Windsor, and the value of sharing knowledge in the small business community.

A growing partnership

This event was the first of what we hope will be a long-standing collaboration between UBC and the FSB, with more events planned for this year in a number of UBC Offices.

By providing a unique and professional venue like Castle Hill House, UBC aims to support small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Windsor area, encouraging new connections with likeminded professionals.

Looking ahead

The success of this event has set the tone for future networking opportunities at UBC Windsor. If you missed this one, don’t worry! We’ll be hosting more events in the coming months.  You may even get the chance to step outside and witness the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle, a quintessentially British experience and weather dependent! Keep an eye on our events page or follow us on social media to stay updated.

Thank you

A huge thank you to FSB for partnering with us, to Kati Holloway Noakes for her insightful presentation, and to all the attendees who made the morning such a success. We look forward to welcoming you back to UBC Windsor soon for more networking and growth opportunities!
